Our History

Tobin Brothers Funerals Canberra is Australian owned and has been serving the families and communities of Canberra, the ACT and surrounding areas for more than 75 years. Tobin Brothers Funerals Canberra is proud to have continually grown our experience and our reputation for care ever since then.

We are proud of the beautiful chapel attached to our Belconnen funeral home. It is a recreation of a chapel built in 1897 in Boorowa, NSW as a private place of worship for the Sister-Superior of St. Joseph's Convent, Catherine Donovan. Our chapel bestows a strong sense of history as it has the original fittings and furnishings, including the magnificent stained glass windows and the altar, from the St Joseph's Chapel.

Tobin Brothers Funerals Canberra is part of the Guardian Funerals network of funeral homes, which is made up of some of Australia's most experienced and trusted funeral service providers. We are also able to provide prepaid funeral plans and funeral bonds. Call Tobin Brothers Funerals Canberra today on (02) 6295 2799, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

Guardian Funerals is now one of Australia's premier contemporary funeral organisations. Guardian's funeral directors know that each funeral is unique and that a funeral that has been personalised to the memories of the deceased, as well as to the needs of the family, is a funeral that will be remembered for years to come. Guardian's funeral directors will therefore work beside you to include special themes in the ceremony that reflect the life of the person you are honouring.

Once you come in to one of Guardian Funerals conveniently located funeral homes, their care and experience will be available to you. They will offer you the time you need to have all your questions answered and for you to think about all of your choices so that Guardian can make the funeral you are arranging one that everyone will remember.
